Mt. Calvary was a hill just outside Jerusalem where Jesus was crucified.

Why name a church after such a place?

Because Jesus saved us there!  When Jesus was crucified, He took our sins and the punishment for guilt on Himself.  He replaced our sins with His righteousness.  Because of His sacrifice, heaven is our home!  Through faith in Jesus, His righteous works are credited to us.  If you have time, watch a sermon to hear more about the great work of Jesus on your behalf!
